? They remind me of each other for some reason ?

AND IT'S NOT ETHAN HAWK EITHER

Gattaca
Daybreakers

Why do these two films feel so similar, is it the genetic obsession with the plot, is it the stilited uninspired sets, or stilted unemotional acting, is it the fact there there is this half/ass cover-up mystery plot that really goes nowhere. Is it the over simplified cures & mistakes. These films other than one cast member couldn't be more different; but why do they feel so similar . . . ?

Both films have there moments & and worth a rental by far and a buy if your so inclinded. I am in fact not, but they are by no means masterpeices or aweful. I like things in them, but I honestly don't like them. And both of them have glaring plotholes (***SPOILER***) (Aka Water a cure WTF?) or also (Why can't anyone tell that Jude Law & Ethan Hawk are two different people even when they meet both versions and still think it's the same person DNA is one thing but c'mon just look at the bastard!)

But yeah I just watched Gattaca and it left me with this abysmal maybe hollywood really has run out of ideas and the only reason films like this make money is because well hype machines and genuine interest, but the reason they don't garner that special embrace reserved to the most unique experiences is because somehow they feel repeated even for those not savy enough to pick up on them. Despite the gems I look forward too. And already this year have found one. (Splice)
